How factual errors and outdated information are reported, reviewed, and fixed across the Shrink Network.
How to report an error
If you see a factual error, a missing source, or content that seems out of date, email support@shrinknetwork.com. Include the page address and a short description of the issue.
How a report is reviewed
Each report is read by an editor. Medical claims are referred to Shariq Refai, MD, MBA, the network's medical reviewer. Sources are checked against current literature and guidelines.
How a page is updated
If a correction is needed, the page is updated and its review date is changed. Substantive changes are noted on the page so a reader can see that the content has moved.
Dates shown on educational pages
Where implemented, educational pages across the network show up to four dates. Published is the date a page first appeared. Reviewed is the date a clinician last reviewed it. Sources checked is when references were last verified. Updated is when the page was last meaningfully changed.
When evidence changes
Mental health evidence evolves. Recommendations may change as new studies and guidelines appear. When that happens, pages are revised and the dates above are updated.
