ShrinkNetwork.com is run by the Shrink Network. This page explains what information the site does and doesn't collect. It's written in plain language on purpose.
The short version. ShrinkNetwork.com is an informational site. You don't need an account to read it, no forms ask for personal details, no ads run on the site, and we don't sell or share your data. We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits so we can tell which pages are useful, but analytics stays off until you accept it on the consent banner. If you choose to email us, we'll have whatever you send and will use it only to reply to you.
Cookies
We don't set advertising or marketing cookies. The site doesn't use retargeting pixels or cross-site profiling. A small amount of browser storage is used for site features (like remembering that you dismissed the crisis banner during your visit, or your choice on the consent banner). If you accept analytics, Google Analytics 4 sets its own cookies. The full list, purpose, and duration for every cookie and storage item we use is on the dedicated cookies page.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (property ID G-VFXN0W0PNP) to count page views and understand which pages people find useful. Analytics is off by default. It only turns on if you accept it on the consent banner. The site loads Google's tag with Consent Mode v2, which means Google doesn't set analytics cookies or receive personal analytics data until you accept.
If you accept, Analytics tells us things like how many people viewed a page, roughly where visits came from (city-level, not street-level), what device type was used, and how people moved between pages. We enable IP anonymization, we don't turn on Google Signals, and we don't use analytics data for ad personalization. We use this only to improve the site.
You can change your choice at any time. Scroll to the bottom of any page and click Cookie settings to reopen the banner and accept or decline.
IP addresses and server logs
The hosting service that serves ShrinkNetwork.com keeps standard technical logs that may include IP address, browser type, device type, the page requested, and a timestamp. These logs exist for security, abuse prevention, and reliability. They're not used to identify you or to build a marketing profile.
Device and browser information
Like most websites, ShrinkNetwork.com receives basic device and browser information that your browser sends with every request, such as user-agent and screen size. This information is used only to serve the site correctly on your device.
Email and contact forms
If you email us at [email protected] or use a contact form, we receive whatever you choose to send, including your email address and message. We use that information only to reply to you and to address your question. We don't add you to a marketing list and we don't share your message with third parties.
Third-party tools
The site loads typefaces from Google Fonts and links out to other websites. Once a request goes to a third party, that party's own privacy practices apply. The site doesn't embed advertising networks, social media trackers, or third-party marketing tools.
Retention
Hosting and analytics records are retained only as long as needed for security and reliability, typically a short rolling window. Emails you send us are retained as long as needed to address your question and any related follow-up.
Advertising
The site runs no advertising and includes no third-party advertising or marketing trackers. All advertising signals in our Consent Mode setup are set to denied regardless of what you choose on the banner.
Legal basis and your rights
For visitors in the EU, UK, or other jurisdictions with similar rules, our legal basis for analytics is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time from the Cookie settings link at the bottom of any page. For visitors in California and other US states with comprehensive privacy laws, we don't sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If you want to know what limited data we hold about a visit or contact you sent us, or to have it deleted, email [email protected].
Because the site doesn't require an account and doesn't collect names, addresses, or health information, most requests are limited to email correspondence we may hold and analytics aggregates we've already anonymized.
Links to other sites
ShrinkNetwork.com links to other properties in the Shrink Network and, sometimes, to outside sources. Once you follow a link to another site, that site's own privacy policy applies. We're not responsible for how other sites handle your information.
Children
ShrinkNetwork.com is intended for a general adult audience. It isn't directed at children, and it doesn't knowingly collect information from children.
Your choices
You choose whether analytics runs. Use the consent banner on your first visit, or reopen it from the Cookie settings link at the bottom of any page. If you've emailed us and you would like that message deleted, write to [email protected] and we'll remove it.
