Founder and owner
The Shrink Network is founded by Shariq Refai, MD, MBA, a board-certified psychiatrist. He is the founder of shrinkMD, the creator of shrinQ, the creator of the Unstuck app, the author of books published under shrinkMD Publishing, LLC, and the creator of the educational properties that make up the Shrink Network.
What is owned within the network
Clinical care lives at shrinkMD. Tools and programs are shrinQ and Unstuck. Books are titles published by shrinkMD Publishing, LLC. Educational sites are Shrinkopedia, Shrinktionary, AnxietyResource, DepressionResource, AnxietyResearch, PsychiatryRx, and shariqrefai.com.
How content is funded
ShrinkNetwork.com takes no advertising, no affiliate commissions, no referral fees, and no sponsored content. It sells nothing and earns nothing from links to other properties. The educational sites operate the same way.
How content stays independent
Educational content is intended to remain independent and evidence-based. Where an educational page mentions a tool, program, or service owned within the network, the relationship is disclosed plainly on the same page, in line with FTC guidance. No content is hidden behind an unspoken commercial relationship.
Why the network exists
Care, education, and tools are different things. Keeping them on separate properties, and disclosing the relationships between them, lets a reader see exactly what each one is for, and who pays for it.
